SUSTAINABILITY...

As stated in mission, we have a pink mindset but we also have a green heart. We want to grow our business whilst being a catalyst for positive societal change and respecting the limits of the planet. We aim to spread a culture of sustainability, friendship and happiness, inspiring everyone we get in touch with by shaping our business in a way that preserves, respects and protects the place and communities where we operate.

IN OUR BREAKFAST

We mainly serve home made and regional products. Marmalade are produced with our own fruit and vegetables, eggs come from our own hens. Butter and milk are produced in Oliveira de Azemeis. Our bread, the so called "Pao d'Ul" is an artisanal product made in the nearby village of Ul in the council of Oliveira de Azemeis. It is baked in a wood oven with the same art, passion and recipes passed down through the generations and is available in three flavours: natural, with cinnamon or with chorizo. Our breakfast is prepared according to the preference of each of our clients. It is served with love and there is no buffet in order to avoid waste and ensure maximum freshness and taste.

IN OUR HOUSE

Our house was built in 1951 and renovated in 2024 with love, attention to details and a high focus on sustainability. We have solar panels to provide electricity and warm water and we only have energy saving lights . We use the water from our own well for irrigation and sewage as well as technologies that help us reduce waste wherever possible. 

IN OUR ROOMS

We have chosen "save the planet" mattresses from our partner Colmol, a local factory that creates products solely from recycled materials. Wherever possible we have kept and renovated the original furniture in the house.

IN OUR SERVICES

For long rentals we change bed linen once a week and towels every third day, unless our clients would explicitly require a higher frequency. For laundry and dish washing we make use of biodegradable products only. We offer the possibility to rent our e-bikes to explore the surrounding area.
